R. Brooks Whitehead
received his Juris Doctorate in
2008 from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and is
admitted to practice in the State of California.
Brooks also received a Master’s

Degree
in Business Administration in 2009 from California
State University, Sacramento.
He completed his undergraduate work at the University of
California at Davis, double-majoring in Economics and Political
Science.
While in law school, Brooks worked as a staff writer and editor
for the McGeorge Law Review, as an extern for the California State
Board of Equalization’s Tax Appeals Assistance Program, and as a
research assistant for Tax Professor Christine Manolakas.
Upon graduation he was made a
member of the Roger J. Traynor Honor Society, which is awarded to
students who achieved consecutive years of Dean’s Honor List.
After law school, and while completing his MBA, Brooks worked as
a law clerk for a solo practitioner in Carmichael, which provided
him experience in business, contract, and estate matters.

Brooks joined the Burton
Law Firm in late 2009 as an associate, where
he works on transactional business, tax, and
estate matters.
Brooks currently resides
in the North Natomas area of Sacramento with
his wife, Melissa.
He loves European travel, having
visited Spain, France, Monaco, Italy,
Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.
While at home, he is an avid sports
fan, especially of professional basketball
and football, an aspiring cook, and an
endless tinkerer with computers and other
electronic gadgets.
